Pepe Injury - 4 Weeks Rest

Real Madrid player, Pepe, has injured his left leg's soleus muscle. This morning, he was being check up by the Sanitas-Real Madrid Medical Services, and as the result, he is confirmed to suffer from Grade II muscle tear on the soleus (wonder what that means).

Apparently he will miss the match for another 4 weeks, and will be monitored for further improvement.

Lionel Messi Injury Report

After facing a challenge from Tomas Ujfalusi from Atletico Madrid in La Liga match yesterday (19/9), Lionel Messi injured his right ankle. After the game, he had to leave Vicente Calderon wearing crutches.

With this injury, Messi is almost sure that he will miss at least 2 games, which are Barcelona vs Sporting Gijon (home) and Athletico Bilbao (away). However, his doctors confirmed that Messi only sprained his right ankle, therefore he expected to be fit again next week for the trip to Rusia for Champions League Match vs Rubin Kazan.

During this 2 seasons, Messi almost never had any serious injury. Last time he had multiple leg muscle injury, back then in 07/08 season, and the worst injury was in 2006, where he had to rest for 3 months due to broken leg. Read more NEWS HERE
