Leica's New Range of Digital Cameras: Look Expert With Your Ordinary Talent of Photography

I remember, in the golden days of my childhood, my uncle had a Yashica camera; which required manual focussing and lot of other manual settings to have a good result out of it. 

But in the modern world of technology; gone are the days when the excellence of a picture depended upon the ability of the photographer. These days a lot depends upon the quality of the camera. Whatever be the decade, Leica has always brought out excellent cameras. 

1.      Leica V-Lux 20:  It takes great pictures without being too complex to use. The 12.1 megapixel camera has HD movie recording and GPS tagging abilities as well. Priced at $699. 

2.      Leica D Lux 5: This is a daily use camera can capture extremely typical images. As compared to the other cameras in this class, it has edge in terms of faster lens and zoom, with practical range of focal lengths, plus memory saving and 720-pixel HD video features. 

3.      Leica M9: Quite contrary to Leica D Lux 5, it’s not a daily use camera. It happens to be world’s first model with a 24 by 36 sensor, making it very special of digital rangefinder cameras. Compatible with almost all existing M lenses, this camera comes with a price tag of $6,995.

Panasonic ZS10, ZS8, FX78, and TS3: Addition to The Lumix Range of Point And Shoot Cameras

Panasonic has announced four new point and shoot cameras that fall into the Lumix range. These four cameras follow on from eight that were announced just a couple of weeks ago at CES.

The new cameras are the ZS10, ZS8, FX78, and TS3 which have a number of features all of which are explained below.

The Lumix ZS10 and the ZS8 each have a zoom lens capable of an optical zoom of 16 times. Each has a 14.1 megapixel sensor with the ZS10 being capable of capturing video at 1080p while the ZS8 is restricted to 720p. The ZS10 has a 24mm wide angle lens and has a 3 inch touchscreen. A 3D mode is also included with this camera.

Release dates for the ZS10 and ZS8 will be sometime in March. No prices have been given just yet.

Next up is the Lumix FX78 which is a full HD camera. The lens is wide angle at 24mm and the sensor is 12.1 megapixels. This allows the camera to capture video in full HD at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in the AVCHD format.

The FX78 has a 3.5 inch touchscreen on the back allowing you to control all the functions of the camera. This camera also has the 3D mode which also takes 20 shots and combines the best two to get a 3D image.

The launch date for the FX78 will also be March although no prices have been revealed just yet.

On to the Lumix TS3, this particular camera is designed to be rugged. The camera is completely waterproof as well as freeze proof, shock proof and dustproof. As it is aimed at the outdoors, it also has a compass built in along with an altimeter and a barometer. This camera is also capable of full 1080p video and has a 28 mm wide angle lens. As with the other cameras, there's no pricing, but the TS3 is also expected in March.

This featured eyeball camera with zoom features was developed by Scientists Yonggang Huang and John Rogers as a step up from previous camera models. The eyeball camera has 3.5 optical zoom, captures sharp images and can be helpful in situations where night-vision surveillance and robotic vision is required.

It may not be as advanced as the Terminator, but this eyeball camera with zoom will surely bring you a step closer to being more futuristic.

According to the manufacturer, the camera is ideal for those looking for a compact with great sensitivity to light. Among the resources available is the ultra fast autofocus, the Super Macro (close to capturing the details), image stabilization and face recognition.

In addition, the unit includes some typical controls DSLR equipment such as manual control of focusing and adjusting the lens opening. To ensure the brightness of images, Poco Pro comes with two LED flash.
