Amazing Steampunk Items

Steampunk flash drive

The work and the materials that have gone into this is top rate, with every single tiny cog and wheel fitted into the right place and finished off to a high standard. However, this is steampunk and although this is a 16 Gb flash drive the price tag of $165 is slightly on the expensive side.

Fully operational steampunk gun

When you put fully operational and steampunk within the same sentence it is normally the time when most people would go “Oh No” but this is an interesting piece of technology. The gun has been named “Black Betty”.

TV Goes Steampunk
This is a fully working steampunked TV, is has all of the features that you would expect from a stream punk device, the wood, brass and the round tube style TV screen. This is in fact for sale with a price tag so standing at about $1,000! How much is some serious steam punk technology worth to you.

Handmade retro lamps

These lamps are something completely special; this is a great look some people do not like steampunk, but when it is done right it looks great as these lamps do. They are hand made by designer Frank Buchwald and he will make one to order if you like.

Exam's Over! It's Time To Rock!

Yay! The mid-year exam is finally over! I didn't do very well in every subject but I'm still very happy that holiday starts NOW! Officially re-starting my blog!

Book Pricing Problems

I'm planning to buy more books once I get enough money. Books priced $17.00 may be normal for US/Canada residents, but in Asian countries, these books cost nearly RM 40 or more, which is approximately my one-month pocket money. I think that's too expensive. I only get to buy books once or twice every year with my savings.

What Do You Think?

I usually don't post reviews for books that I think is unreadable, which, in other words, terrible. There are some books which I can't wait to throw away or sell to a second-hand bookstore for $1. Do you think I should post (simple and short) reviews about the books I disliked/hated so that others won't risk the chance of buying them and then be disappointed? Feel free to voice your opinions.

Book Review: The Photograph (Paperback) ~ Penelope Lively

• Paperback: 240 pages
• Publisher: Penguin (Non-Classics) (May 25, 2004)
• Language: English
• ISBN-10: 0142004421
• ISBN-13: 978-0142004425

Review:

What caught my eye at first was the comment at the top of the book. Later, I was intrigued by the synopsis. Without much thinking, I bought this book. At first, it seemed OK, but after a few chapters, I felt that the story lacked something. Yes, the idea was interesting, but I just couldn't get the point, and the story seemed to go nowhere. This book just didn't interest me at all. I didn't read half of the book and finally gave up.

Rating: 2/10
