Iker Casillas Shocked By The Red Card vs Espanyol - VIDEO

Iker Casillas got shocked when he received a straight red card from the ref, in just 1,5 minute after the match started. Although on the replay we can see that the rough challenge between Casillas and Espanyol player didn't deserve him to be sent off, the ref already decided.

Poor Casillas had to sit on the bench, and got replaced with Adan, who surprisingly showed a teriffic performance defending Real Madrid.

Here's the Video of the incident

Iker Casillas On Champions League Lyon and Cristiano Ronaldo

Iker Casillas, along with the Clinica Menorca Foundation, have given out presents for around 500 needy children yesterday (17/12). On the event, the Real Madrid captain spare his time to discuss about Champions League draw, and team relationship.

"Lyon are a serious opponent who we have to respect, especially after last year when everyone thought Real Madrid were going to go through to the quarterfinals, which wasn't the case. We've got past experience, albeit bad, but now we must be prudent and respect Lyon."

"We are looking forward to Lyon because they eliminated us last year, but we don't feel a sense of revenge as if it was a life or death matter. It is an important match for us if we are to overcome that hurdle, but we must respect our opponent as eliminated us last year although they may have appeared to be the weaker side."

"There are people who try to create controversy and a bad atmosphere within the team when in fact it is just the opposite. Cristiano and I get along very well. We come from different places, but it doesn't mean we are distant or have confrontations. Quite the opposite. There are no groups or clicks here. There is a great atmosphere. We are a young group and we get along. There are good vibes all around. We must move on and not be concerned about such stupidities."

Messi or Cristiano?

"I agree with Di Stefano that my teammates is the best,"said Iker.

He also gave his opinion about tomorrow's match.

"We have plenty of players to step in on defense. Albiol can play as a center back or right back, Arbeloa can play on either side... We are not at all worried about Sunday."

"Sergio and I had lunch with the top brass on Thursday to discuss how the season is unfolding. It's good that the president sits down with the captains every so often to hear our side of things and to see how things are going."

Xabi Alonso and Angel di Maria Confirmed That Nothing Happened With Casillas and Ronaldo

It's hard to imagine these two mates having a rift, judging on this this picture when both of them were presenting Spain-Portugal for WC bid last month. Both of them even did an interview together, and what we saw is far from what we heard from the media.

Iker and Lass already confirmed that everything is good between Cristiano and the rest of Madrid players, but the negative news on Cris and Iker keep on coming.

However, Cristiano or Casillas haven't made a formal clarification about this matter, and instead of them, Xabi Alonso and Angel di Maria were the one who tried to clear the news.

Just as we thought, Xabi and Maria denies the gap between Iker and Cristiano. Xabi said that it's just a rumor.
“At Real Madrid you are always under the microscope.”

He also explained that Mourinho is the one who keeps them united, discipline, and motivated, when they were in the locker room.

“He is good at rectifying problems and analysing games,”.

“And he has a very distinctive personality. In the dressing room I feel comfortable and happy.”

Angel Di Maria helped Xabi to clear the situation, and claimed that the group is very united.

“I’ve said this several times. Since our training camp in Los Angeles we have formed a strong group to handle everything. Things are going very well.”said Maria.

“We have a large group, and everyone is very united, and are glad that things are going well.

“Personally I feel comfortable here and I am dedicated to playing.”he added.

Iker Casillas Talked About His Relationship With Cristiano

Iker Casillas answered a question about his rumor with Cristiano Ronaldo, and other things that goes in the locker room, after he received the golden gloves yesterday.

" There are always problems in the locker room, I'm not going to deny that. But the good thing is that we always talk and sort things out. That issue ( Sara's comments) was a topic that was discussed and resolved . It's stayed on the locker room, because there's no need to make a fuss out of it."

"People talk just to create some instability. But now the team is great, and we seek the stability of the team. The team is above any players. Real Madrid is above Cristiano Ronaldo and Iker Casillas. That's just the way it is, now and forever," explained Casillas.

He also questioned about whether Cristiano Ronaldo got angry or not after he said that Messi is the best player in the world.

" No, no I don't think he was upset, they only asked me to say my opinion about the 3 candidates ( of the Golden Ball).I said that Messi is the best, and also I don't think that Xavi or Iniesta were upset because of that. But I hope that Xavi or Iniesta win it because they are my friends, they are Spanish and I think that it is time for a Spanish player to win it."

As if it's not enough, the reporter also asked about how Cris being left alone, the crowds hates him, and only Marcelo and Pepe hugged him when he scores. Compare to Messi, everybody defended him when he got a foul.

"It's normal, we have a good relationship with each other"
"I can't leave the goal post to celebrate with Ronaldo , and everybody in the team is different. But the most important thing is that the team is working well."

It was something I dreamed about as a kid, and when I saw players like Dunga, Cafu, Zidane and Cannavaro raise the Cup I always thought it would be impossible. But we finally did it," said Casillas.

Iker Casillas Votes for Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi for Balon D'Or

What a nice team mate he is...
Iker Casillas has voted Cristiano Ronaldo for Balon D'Or winner. But besides his mate, he also chose CR biggest rival, Lionel Messi as second place, and also Arjen Robben. The Spanish Captain can't vote for his team-mates in Spanish team, so Xavi and Iniesta were off the list.

But back to his choice of players, well Robben is a different story, but Messi..?? He's like the enemy of Real Madrid squad, and I think none of Barca's player will voted for CR, although he is as good as Messi.

I guess Casillas just wanted to show his integrity as a professional footballer, and to tell the truth, Messi deserves to be voted aswell as CR.

And other people who voted for CR and Messi was Del Bosque. He chose Messi, CR and Schweinsteiger.
