American economy fragile

From Denny: The G20 summit meeting was a sad joke when it came to world economic cooperation of how to avoid a Great Depression. Most of the countries decided to pull in and self-protect by refusing to put government money into their economy. Instead, they have decided to cut deficits first. What that does is completely dry up the economy. It's simple: No money going into the economy, no money moving in the economy = no money at all.

President Obama is willing to put money into the American economy through his version of the Spend Money economic model. The reason the economy is doing so poorly at the moment, other than from job loss, is that the Big Banks took stimulus money and plunked it down onto their profit line. The Big Banks are still holding onto the money and refusing to make loans to small businesses to hire or expand, to individuals to buy cars or homes.

As a result, the economy is staggering like a gasping dying man about to fall over. Without the government pumping large amounts of money into the economy to create jobs this economy will end up crashing off the cliff like the European economies are about to do.

Gun Rights

Because of cutbacks to city and state funding there are now fewer police in violent areas of the country. The Supreme Court overturned a city of Chicago ruling about no handguns within the city limits. Unfortunately, because of cutbacks, average citizens have to find ways to protect themselves from violent drug gangs and drug dealers in their neighborhoods. A gun in the house may be the only way.

Russian spies in America caught

We've all had a good laugh with this one and the cartoonists are lampooning the Russian low tech nonsensical efforts the most. Nothing like Cold War retreads.

Supreme Court nominee hearings for Elena Kagan:

Kagan has taken an unkind grilling from the racist bigoted Republican senators like Lindsay Graham of South Caroline who decided that Kagan was not Christian enough for him. I found the hearings informative, not so much on Kagan who responded much like I figured she would, but rather what vile thoughts the GOP has been thinking reveals their future plans.

CNN anchor Larry King retires:

The cartoonists had a field day with his many marriages and many divorces. The guy is something yet still charming and likable. He had a long career of 25 years as a host of a talk show where he interviewed world celebrities.

McChrystal firing:

A few cartoonists have registered their thoughts on how the McChrystal firing affects the Afghan War, America and Obama.

Tea Party racists and weirdo nutjobs:

The Tea Party continues to entertain us with the outrageous and the bizarre doings of little mean minds. The weirdest statement of the week was from GOP minority leader Boehner when he said, "Obama's financial regulation reform is like killing an ant with a nuclear weapon."

He was implying that the Wall Street giants are benign and don't negatively impact America or the world. Chalk it up to yet another puppet politician bought and paid for by the lobbyists. The crazy insane things these guys will say out loud for the exchange of money is unbelievable! :)
